**If installing this plastic on a Greenhouse as a top cover we recommend installing the covering and then installing our Batten Strap between hoops to lengthen the life of the plastic Covering, and Protective Felt Tape on all bows where the plastic would otherwise contact the bows**

  • Rough weight of Greenhouse poly is 5.36 oz per square yard - Please plan accordingly for unloading and moving poly once delivered
  • LTL Freight shipping rates DO NOT INCLUDE LIFTGATE SERVICES; straps can be cut and the plastic can be removed easily with two people. If customer asks for, and uses, liftgate services from a shipping vendor, the customer will be billed for the cost of liftgate services (approximately $75.00 depending on the shipping vendor)

Warranty 

  • Must be installed using Aluminum Channel and Spring Wire Attachment 
  • In between each Bow / Hoop there must be Solarig Batten Strap Attachment installed to further hold the product to your structure
  • Felt Tape must be installed on all structure bows where Solarig product makes contact with the bows

Great product from a great company!

The folks at tunnel vision helped steer me in the right direction as I designed our first high tunnel. They explained the various plastic options so I have a clear understanding on which type of plastic to use as the inner and outer covers for our air inflated tunnel. Also, I received the wrong Solarig 182 size (manufacturer's fault, not TVH), but TVH was lighting fast to make sure I got the correct size in a matter of days. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out; you'll learn so much more about designing and building structures than you could have imagined due to their top notch knowledge and communication.

Solarig 182, previously referred to as Solarig 172 durability

I built my 1st greenhouse 17 years ago here in West Central Florida. Treated lumber framing finally began to rot. I used the Solarig 172, and it held up for all those years in spite of sun and high winds. Still very much intact. I had enough left over from that order 17 years ago to completely cover my new metal tube hoop house that I am just about to complete. Obviously well worth the money, although it was half the current price 17 years ago. I still have enough left to cover most of the new hoop house a second time if I should ever need to. Great stuff!
